13th Annual 2010 Youth to Career Fair

The Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce will host the
13th Annual Youth to Career Fair on November 3, 2010 at the
Brazos County Expo Complex.
Registration forms for schools or businesses will be available
in the early fall of 2010 (approximately late August)
Eighth grade students from College Station ISD, Bryan ISD, area private schools, home schools and surrounding area schools are invited to take part in planning their futures at this exciting event. The purpose of the event is to expose area 8th graders to all aspects of business and encouraged to investigate career pathways unknown to them and expand their horizons so they may plan their high school schedules in an educated manner.
Students visit with representatives from various businesses and industries in a booth setting. They are encouraged to visit 7 to 10 booths during the 50 minutes they are allotted at the event. The Chamber of Commerce asks its Chamber Members and other businesses to volunteer to represent their occupations at the Youth to Career Fair. There is no booth cost and lunch is provided. Over 2800 students will participate between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The career pathways represented will reflect the State and Federal Career Clusters: Health Science/Human Services, Architecture & Construction/ Manufacturing/Transportation, Distribution & Logistics, Finance/Business, Management & Administration/Marketing, Sales & Service Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics/Information Technology, Government & Public Administration/Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security, Military Service, Hospitality & Tourism, Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Education & Training, Arts, AV Technology & Communications.
